The National Hyperbaric Centre is now an independent company having been sold by Stolt Offshore. The new management team will build on the NHCs international reputation as the World leader in subsea testing and training but with a new focus in the area of safety and risk management. We will continue to develop the pressure testing, trials, training, and emergency diver hyperbaric support facilities said new Managing Director David Smith, but we also have a major new initiative with regards to improving safety performance on subsea worksites The NHC now offers a comprehensive portfolio of services that cover all aspects of Subsea safety management be it diving or diverless. Training, competency assessment, audits, incident management, risk assessment and equipment testing are all an integral part of developing and maintaining a safe subsea worksite. Companies using the NHCs Integrated Safety Management system, will substantially reduce accidents on subsea worksites. The ISM concept from the World-renowned National Hyperbaric Centre incorporates the expertise and training required to ensure this culture and activity is instilled in personnel on, and associated with, such worksites. A number of key industry experts including Georges Arnoux, are now working with the NHC to on-develop this safety-driven initiative.
